As the McKay expansion project has evolved, one innovative idea has generated a great deal of excitement: incorporating an intergenerational daycare program into the new Community Wellness Center. The concept would create meaningful opportunities for children and older adults to learn, interact, and enjoy time together in a shared environment.

The McKay team has been researching and planning how this unique approach could become an important part of the future campus. We invite you to enjoy this video and see firsthand the possibilities—and the special connections—an intergenerational program can create.

This Week at McKay! 🦖🎶🌺☕️

We are having such a fun-filled week of activities and plenty of opportunities to laugh, reminisce, and make new memories! 💙

🦖 Dinosaur Day – We traveled back to prehistoric times with some dino-sized fun!
🎶 Vinyl Record Day – We enjoyed the music, memories, and nostalgia of records from days gone by.
📖 Storytime with Evynn – A special time filled with stories, smiles, and connection.
🏝️ Play in the Sand Luau – We brought a little island fun to McKay with sand, sunshine, and luau vibes! 🌺
☕ Instant Coffee Day – We enjoyed a cup of coffee and reminisced about the simple pleasures of days gone by.

❤️ We love making every day a little more special for our residents!

🦖 Dinosaur Day at McKay! 🦕

Our residents had a ROAR-some time celebrating Dinosaur Day! We traveled back to prehistoric times with fun games and plenty of laughs. 🦕🦖

It was a dino-mite day filled with smiles, memories, and a little Jurassic fun! ❤️

🦌❤️ Making magical memories! Our residents had a wonderful time visiting the reindeer farm in Leavenworth! There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of summer cheer.
Now we can say we know Dancer, Comet, Cupid, Prancer, Vixen, Rudolph, Olaf, Gretel, Hansel, Elsa and many many more of their friends. Thank you Leavenworth Reindeer Farm

🏔️ Leavenworth Adventures: Good Food, Great Company & LOTS of Dessert! 🥨🍦

Our residents had the BEST time exploring the beautiful town of Leavenworth! 🌲❤️ We strolled through town, took in all the sights, enjoyed some delicious food, and, of course… made sure dessert was a VERY important part of the adventure! 😋🍰🍫

Because let’s be honest—what’s a day of exploring without a little shopping, a lot of laughter, and enough sweets to make us forget we ever said, “I’m too full for dessert”? 😂

We made memories, shared smiles, and enjoyed every delicious bite along the way. These are the moments that make our adventures so special! ❤️

Leavenworth, you were beautiful… but that dessert had our hearts! 🥰🍨

Saturday was all about Smokey Bear! (Seems fitting). We enjoyed sharing stories and learning a little about our favorite forest friend. 🐻🌲

Our residents also had a blast with games, bowling, and some Magic 8 Ball fun! 🎳🎱✨

What a wonderful Saturday filled with fun, memories, and great company! 🌟

FYI Friday:
As the primary elections are now complete, it's time to move forward to the general election, where the Grant County Hospital District #4 dba McKay Healthcare is excited to bring forward their bond proposition. Please vote! If we all give a little, we can gain a lot. McKay's future is bright! If you have any questions, please feel free to call us. We are hear to serve our residents, community and the seniors of our region.

We’ve been keeping busy with lots of fun activities and plenty of smiles! 😊

🍪 Tuesday – Chocolate Chip Cookie Day!
We celebrated with the Pillsbury Doughboy and enjoyed making biscuits together. Of course, we couldn’t celebrate Chocolate Chip Cookie Day without enjoying some delicious cookies! 🍪😋

💆‍♀️ Wednesday – Pamper Yourself Day!
It was time to relax and be pampered! Our residents enjoyed face masks, lotion and hand massages, and beautiful manicures. 💅✨ A little self-care goes a long way!

❤️🎬 Thursday – I Love Lucy Day!
We celebrated the birthday of the one and only Lucille Ball! 🎂 Our residents reminisced about I Love Lucy, shared memories, and enjoyed talking about one of television’s most beloved stars.

🍺🍦 A&W Root Beer Day!
And we couldn’t let the day pass without celebrating with root beer floats! The perfect sweet treat brought lots of smiles and happy memories. 😋

🍪❤️ We had a deliciously fun day celebrating National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day!

Our residents also spent time with everyone’s favorite baker, the Pillsbury Doughboy, as we mixed up fresh biscuits together. The wonderful aroma filled the halls, and everyone enjoyed warm biscuits and, of course, plenty of chocolate chip cookies! 😋

It’s the simple moments—sharing stories, baking together, and enjoying sweet treats—that create the best memories. ❤️

🍉 Happy National Watermelon Day! 🍉

We celebrated this sweet summer favorite with fresh, juicy watermelon and plenty of smiles! 😄 Our residents enjoyed a refreshing treat while sharing stories, laughter, and making wonderful memories together.

It’s amazing how something as simple as a slice of watermelon can bring everyone together. ❤️
