DANDELIONS AND SUMMER SKINCARE
This simple herb contains the trifecta of beneficial skin care vitamins: A, C, and E – powerful antioxidants. They help protect the skin from free radical damage, keeping skin healthy and looking younger.
One of my favorite “go-to” skincare products is my Dandelion Body Butter. It’s handcrafted in small batches made with dandelion infused olive oil, creamy shea butter, and pure beeswax for deep hydration. Scented with a soothing blend of Lavender, Lemon Verbena, and Frankincense essential oils, this butter melts into the skin, leaving it soft, smooth, and delicately fragrant. Perfect for daily moisture, after-sun care, or as a calming massage butter.

AFTER SUN COOLING SKIN RESCUE:
2 fl. oz. Aloe Vera gel - light, water-loving, and fast absorbing, so it cools warm skin instead of sitting heavy on top of it
1 fl. oz. Lavender hydrosol - soft, calming, gentle plant water you can reach for without any dilution
1 fl. oz. Helichrysum hydrosol (or German Chamomile/Calendula hydrosol) - A soft, sweet, rosy hydrosol that gives the gel a gentle, comforting character. German Chamomile or Calendula Hydrosol swap in 1:1 if you prefer.

• Hydrosols are the water-soft side of the plant. Gentle plant waters you can reach for without any dilution, which is exactly what warm summer skin wants.
• Cooling comfort, kept gentle. This is a comforting layer for skin that feels warm after a day outside, not a treatment for a burn. We keep the dilution low on purpose, because warm skin asks for gentleness.

Natural bug spray that actually works — and why.
Bugs find us by scent, so the simplest natural defense is to change what we smell like. Essential oils do this beautifully — they scramble the signal mosquitoes use to track us.
I’ve just started using this spray, and it’s gentle, effective, and smells amazing. Citronella and Lemongrass do the heavy lifting, Peppermint adds that cooling lift, and a touch of Vetiver helps the scent stay on your skin longer.
Here’s the blend:
• 20 drops Citronella Java — the workhorse
• 20 drops Lemongrass ct Rhodinol — gentle on skin
• 10 drops Peppermint — cooling + disorienting to bugs
• 5 drops Vetiver — the fixative that makes it last
Mix oils with 6 mls. Solubol, add 100 mls. Yarrow or Witch Hazel Hydrosol, shake, spray, and reapply every 2 hours. Natural blends fade faster — that’s normal.
