Our wonderful Atterdag Auxiliary put together an incredible “Remembering the ‘50s” event for our residents, and it was a day to remember! From classic diner bites and warm popcorn to fun photo props and a hilarious hula hoop contest, the energy was electric.
A massive thank you to Soul Kool for providing fantastic live entertainment that kept everyone moving! 🎶🕺💃

Farmer’s Market for the residents at Atterdag Village put on by the wonderful Activities team! There were baked goods, fresh flowers, fresh fruit, jewelry, and so much more all generously donated by the AVS Auxiliary, staff, families, and the surrounding community. The month of May is when seniors champion their health and the residents at Atterdag Village demonstrate that every week. During one activity this month, residents spent the day exploring the quiet beauty of Sedgwick Reserve—walking shaded trails, learning about local wildlife, and soaking in the wide‑open views that make the Santa Ynez Valley feel like home.

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful day at Cachuma Lake, soaking in the sunshine, the views, and each other’s company. Lunch at Hook’d made the outing even sweeter, with plenty of laughter shared around the table. It was one of those perfect-weather days that reminds us how special it is to explore our valley together.

Another amazing experience for our residents thanks to Visiting VR. Stephen Jones creates a personal journey that is exciting and heartwarming to see. This trip teleported our senior community to South America including Bolivia, soaring over Rio, exploring Cusco and Machu Picchu and going over the top of Angel Falls.
