Yesterday was a jam packed equipment review night! Our ambulances carry a wide variety of equipment, each of which are very helpful in specific situations. It’s helpful to review all the tools we carry so we know which resources we have and how to use them properly. Yesterday we reviewed c-collars, back boards, the Reeves sleeve, scoop stretcher, binder lift, stair chair, Ked and more! Interested in learning what these tools are and how we use them? It’s graduation season🎉 Our Thursday night crew celebrated not one but TWO graduations—our member Sudi graduating from Rutgers and our cadet Pranav graduating from high school. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for both of these amazing members!

Our crews standing by at Tour de Franklin, a fundraiser that supports Franklin Food Bank through cycling and cycling walking events varying from 1-62 miles! At these events, we tend to any medical needs or support that arise—both from participants and supporters. Congrats to everyone who is participating!

Last night our Thursday crew say Goodbye and Good Luck to our amazing member Sophia! As much as we will miss her, her kindness and dedication will serve her well as she completes National Guard training over the next few months.

Last night a few of our squad members and families attended the New Jersey Devils game for EMS Appreciation night! It was so much fun and we always enjoy these opportunities to spend time together outside of the squad building, go Devils!

March’s monthly drill night consisted of a splinting and immobilization review! We reviewed how to splint arms and legs, as well as our traction device for femur fractures. It’s always helpful to review these skills to keep us sharp and educate our newer members. We hope everyone is outside enjoying the warm weather and stay safe!
