Good morning,

RWJBarnabas Health, Mobile Health will be hosting a fantastic course for ALS providers, Monday, August 31, and Wednesday, September 2, 2026, "The Difficult Airway Course:EMS." Learn the full range of airway management, and work with experienced professionals who understand the challenges facing EMS providers in the field. You must attend both sessions to receive 16 CAPCE Advanced CEH. This course is for ALS providers only. If interested in attending the two-day course, please click on the link below to register! Reminder - This Week!

Are you interested in becoming a Paramedic?

The Prehospital Medicine Program: Paramedic will be holding sessions and will provide an overview of the Paramedic Science Program available through RWJBarnabas Health and Hudson County Community College. We will discuss candidate eligibility, prerequisites, program structure, and financial information. All are welcome to attend!

The Tour Chief of Mobile Health will ensure the delivery of world-class patient care through providing leadership and quality driven services aligned with RWJBH’s strategic and operational plan. The Tour Chief is responsible for overseeing all operations of their assigned tour. Standard of performance is based on the use of the knowledge, skills and techniques in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and Mobile Health policies.

The Tour Chief will report directly to the EMS Manager of Mobile Health and will foster a collaborative environment within the supervisory team in developing and accessing RWJBH’s long-term Mobile Health Strategy. The Tour Chief will provide outstanding and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all aspects of Mobile Health, developing broad based relationships with RWJBH, the community and other key stakeholders. The Tour Chief will be expected to lead, coach, and develop high-performing supervisors and front-line staff team members, all the while emphasizing strategic planning and analysis.

RWJBarnabas Health is proud to announce that Steven Cohen, Senior Director of Clinical Quality for RWJBarnabas Health Mobile Health, was recently presented with a Leadership Award at the 2026 National EMS Management Association (NEMSMA) Conference in Washington, D.C.

The award recognizes Steve's exceptional contributions to the American College of Paramedic Executives (ACPE), where he currently serves as a commissioner. His leadership was instrumental during his tenure as Chair of the College from 2020 to 2025, a period marked by significant advancement for the profession.

In addition to his work with the ACPE, Cohen continues to shape the future of emergency medical services as a board member for the National EMS Quality Alliance (NEMSQA). He also serves as National Faculty for NEMSMA's Field Training and Evaluation Program, mentoring the next generation of EMS leaders.

Congratulations to our RWJBarnabas Health Mobile Health team, recipient of the Always Ready for Children Award from the New Jersey Department of Health and EMS for Children! This recognition is part of a national initiative aimed at reducing pediatric death and disability both in the prehospital settings and within hospitals. Senior Vice President, Jim Smith states, “As the largest provider of mobile health services in New Jersey and one of the largest in the United States, achieving this award reinforces our commitment to pediatric emergency care".

We are proud of the achievements from our team members and the collaborative efforts set forth throughout the system to make this become a reality. Amazing work to you all and thank you for your continued dedication into prehospital care for all of our patients.
