RWJBarnabas Health, Mobile Health will be hosting a fantastic course for ALS providers, Monday, August 31, and Wednesday, September 2, 2026, "The Difficult Airway Course:EMS." Jersey Shore Hatzalah invited RWJBH to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony announcing the partnership between RWJBH Mobile Health and Jersey Shore Hatzalah/RWJBH Mobile Health Advanced Life Support (ALS) unit. The event was held in Long Branch, NJ, which included local authorities, law enforcement, and invited community members to attend and mark this exceptional event. We are excited for this partnership and look forward to increasing ALS access and providing exceptional care together.

RWJBarnabas Health, Mobile Health has received the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Mission: Lifeline® Gold Quality Achievement Award. This honor recognizes the system's commitment to delivering rapid, research-based care for patients experiencing severe heart attacks and strokes.

By starting treatment immediately upon arrival, Mobile Health crews can administer life-saving care up to an hour faster than if a patient traveled to the hospital by car. EMS personnel are highly trained in advanced resuscitation techniques for cardiac arrest, and ambulance arrival often expedites subsequent treatment within the hospital emergency department.

"RWJBH Mobile Health is honored to be recognized by the American Heart Association for our dedication to providing optimal care for heart attack and stroke patients," said James Smith, Senior Vice President of Mobile Health. "The Mission: Lifeline program puts proven knowledge and guidelines to work on a daily basis so patients have the best possible chance of survival."

In addition to the Gold award, RWJBH Mobile Health earned spots on two prestigious AHA honor rolls:

•Target: Heart Attack Honor Roll: Celebrates seamless collaboration between prehospital and hospital providers. Qualification requires meeting strict time standards from first medical contact to artery-clearing treatment (primary percutaneous coronary intervention or thrombolytic therapy).

•Target: Stroke℠ Honor Roll: Highlights synchronized prehospital and hospital efforts that drastically reduce the time between initial EMS contact and the administration of clot-busting thrombolytic therapy.
