1st the tough news: After 4 great years we're losing Haoming (https://openspaceacupuncture.com/practitioners/) . As of June 18th Haoming will be dedicating himself to full-time practice at New England Integrated Health. He will be sorely missed and we wish him all the best!

One of our favorite points especially in Allergy season to both relieve sinus pressure & calm the mind

DU-23 (Shangxing) is located on the head, 1 cun within the anterior hairline.

👃👀 DU-23 benefits the nose and the eyes, treating things like nasal obstruction and discharge, loss of smell, and eye pain.

📍 Since DU-23 is near the nose and eyes, it’s called an “adjacent point”. Bi Tong and LI-20 would be considered local points for the nose, and LI-7 would be a distal point. But since DU-23 is near the nose (but not right next to it), it’s an adjacent point.

🌼🤧 Maciocia uses this point for stuffy nose during a common cold, or for allergic rhinitis (seasonal allergies).

👻 It’s also a Sun Si-miao Ghost point, so it calms the spirit.

Staff Updates: Chad & Haoming
Chad Brickogas (https://openspaceacupuncture.com/practitioners/) has moved to Ipswich. He’s off the regular schedule but hopes to return for special events.
Haoming Xu (https://openspaceacupuncture.com/practitioners/) is on winter break and will be back in February.

More Hours!
Malik (https://openspaceacupuncture.com/practitioners/) now offers Thursday evenings (plus Mondays).
Daphne (https://openspaceacupuncture.com/practitioners/) has added Friday evenings.
Daphne and Andrew (https://openspaceacupuncture.com/practitioners/) are available most weekday mornings until noon.
