Today, August 31, Country Roads Healthcare recognizes International Overdose Awareness Day. 💜

Today is a day to remember without stigma, educate without judgment, and stand together with compassion and hope.

We remember the lives lost to overdose and the families, friends, and communities who continue to carry their memory. We stand beside those who are still struggling with substance use, and we celebrate every person who is walking the path of recovery—whether they are one day, one month, or many years into that journey.

Addiction does not define a person. Recovery is possible, treatment works, and asking for help is a sign of strength. No one should have to walk this road alone.

At Country Roads Healthcare, we are committed to meeting people where they are, reducing stigma, supporting recovery, and reminding our communities that hope starts here. 💜

Today and every day, we remember. We educate. We prevent. And together, we can save lives.

Hello Summers County! I present to you our youth coalition for grades 6-12 …. The Pathfinders Youth Adventure Club!

Pathfinders is all about giving teens a place to belong, have fun, build life skills, and get involved in their community!

We’ll meet twice a month: one fun prevention-focused night at REACHH and one adventure or outing like hiking, fishing, mountain coasters, pumpkin patches, Christmas lights & more!

Through adventure, prevention, friendship, and community service, we want youth to build confidence, make healthy choices, and discover positive ways to have fun!

Our first meeting will be at REACHH on September 17th, 2026, at 4:00pm where we will have a bonfire and do S’mores and Safety! 🧡💚💙

Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton are pleased to announce the next stop for the “You Are Not Alone” Outreach, taking place on September 19th from 5:00 PM–9:00 PM.

Sgt. B.J. Adkins and the “You Are Not Alone” Outreach Team will be on-site to connect individuals and families with resources and support.

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance abuse, mental health, homelessness, or other hardships, we encourage you to stop by and talk with us. We will have resources available and people ready to listen and help.

If you are currently struggling with substance abuse and are ready to take that first step toward treatment, we will work to help connect you with treatment right on the spot.

We believe no one should have to face their struggles alone. We will continue to stand together as a community, reaching out to those who need a helping hand and connecting them with the resources they need.
