Did you know that men, on average, live about 5 years less than women and have higher death rates for many leading causes of death, including heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and su***de? This Men’s Health Month, let’s change the conversation. Preventive care saves lives.
Here are a few simple steps men can take today:
Schedule your annual checkup, don’t wait until something feels wrong.
Know your numbers, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and weight.
Move your body, aim for at least 30 minutes of activity most days.
Eat for your heart. More fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and less processed food.
Talk about mental health. Stress, anxiety, and depression are health issues too.
Get recommended screenings including prostate and colorectal cancer screenings based on your age and risk factors.
📅 This month, make one appointment, start one healthy habit, or encourage one man in your life to prioritize his health.
