🚨National Night Out Rescheduled🚨

Due to the forecasted rain expected to move into our area tomorrow, Halifax County National Night Out has been rescheduled.

📅 New Date: Monday, August 10, 2026

We’re excited to announce that all activities, entertainment, vendors, and event times will remain exactly the same only the date has changed.

While we’re disappointed we won’t be able to gather tomorrow, the safety and enjoyment of our community are our top priorities. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to welcoming you on Monday, August 10, for an evening of family fun, community fellowship, and the opportunity to connect with your local first responders.

Don’t forget…this Thursday is our first day for distributing summer meals.

📣Halifax County Food Service is excited to share the Free Summer Meals Program (SUN Meals)!

Free meal kits are available for all children ages 1–18. Children do NOT have to be a HCPS student to participate. Everyone is welcome!

Each child receives:

One meal kit per week with 🍎 7 breakfasts 🥪 7 lunches, fruit, veggies, juice & milk

Pickup:

Today in camp we explored ocean-themed sensory bins! 🌊

The children engaged with a variety of textures, practiced scooping, and worked on labeling and identifying different items within the bins. It was a hands-on activity that supported engagement, communication, and exploration through play.
