I’m incredibly honored to have been named one of New Jersey’s Favorite Kids’ Docs for 2026 by New Jersey Family! 💙

What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that the nominations came from families. I’m so grateful to the families who trusted me with their children and took the time to nominate me. 🥹

For those who don’t know me, I’m Natalie Hackbarth, M.A., CCC-SLP, SLS, owner of Play All Day Speech Therapy, a pediatric speech-language therapy practice serving children and families in Central New Jersey.

I provide individualized, play-based speech and language therapy with a strong focus on functional communication, parent coaching, neurodiversity-affirming care, and helping children communicate successfully in their everyday lives.

🦋 The butterflies weren’t finished with us yet… and neither are we! 💚

This weekend’s Butterfly House Park Playdate was pure magic. We explored the Children’s Garden, learned about the monarch life cycle, released butterflies, and watched the children’s faces light up as butterflies flew all around us🦋✨

The best news? More monarch butterflies have emerged!

That means we’re heading back for one more Butterfly House adventure this Sunday!

🌳 Another amazing Park Playdate in the books! ☀️💚

This weekend we had so much fun exploring Montgomery All Access Playground, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The playground is beautiful, inclusive, and full of opportunities for movement, imagination, and connection. (The only downside? 😆 We all discovered just how much static electricity that turf can generate! There were quite a few surprise “zaps” throughout the morning. If you came, you know exactly what I’m talking about! ⚡😂)

One of my favorite parts of Park Playdates is watching parents become their child’s communication coach while simply playing together.

This week we focused on:
🌿 Following your child’s lead instead of directing play
🎈 Joining your child’s activity and copying their actions
💬 Commenting more than questioning
👀 Noticing what other children are doing and pointing out shared interests
🤝 Modeling how to invite others to play
❤️ Supporting peer interactions naturally while stepping back when appropriate
🗣️ Building language through everyday play instead of structured drills

It was wonderful watching children initiate interactions with peers while parents coached from nearby. Those authentic moments are exactly what Park Playdates are all about!

Charlie and I have been raising monarch caterpillars at home, and because they formed their chrysalises at different times, we’re hoping to have butterflies ready to release over the next TWO Saturdays! 🐛➡️🦋

That means we’ll likely be visiting the Butterfly House for two weeks in a row, giving more families the opportunity to experience one of our favorite Park Playdates.

We’ll explore the Butterfly House, Children’s Garden, practice communication in nature, and—if everything goes according to the butterflies’ schedule—release real monarch butterflies together! 🌸🦋

🌳 Another amazing Park Playdate in the books! 💚

This past weekend at Hilltop Park, we watched new friendships form, children practice taking turns, families sing together on the playground, and parents learn simple strategies to support communication during everyday play.

At Park Playdates, children aren’t just playing—they’re building communication, confidence, and social connections while parents receive real-time coaching from a pediatric speech-language pathologist.

🎵 Singing together on the disc swing
🤝 Taking turns with playground equipment and toys
💬 Learning words like stop/go and fast/slow
❤️ Ending the morning with giant hugs
