What's really in a "cheap" glute injection? Too often, the answer is biopolymers β€” industrial substances like silicone, paraffin, or PMMA that were never meant to go inside the human body. They don't get absorbed. They stay put, sometimes migrate, and can lead to chronic inflammation, hard nodules, infection, and even tissue death. Because they bond to surrounding tissue, removal is complicated and sometimes impossible without major reconstructive surgery.

If you or someone you know has had glute injections and isn't sure what was used, DM us "biopolymer" and we'll help find the right surgeon for care.

This video was shared by AACS Allied Health member Adia Garcia, helping us raise awareness of these risks.
