Thought for the day: No matter what your back ground is.....No matter how you were raised......No matter what your life has become......No matter how your treated......No matter how you treat others......You can change if that is what you want....How much pain is required before changing is really up to you....There will come a point where it doesn't hurt as bad to change as it does to staying the same......

Thought for the day: We have gotten away from men teaching boys and women teaching girls what it means to grow up into mature adults....Have we thrown our hands up and said why bother...?? Have we become indifferent? Are we too busy with are own little plans to care about what's going on with those coming up behind us..?...Today I need to remember that the only bible, the only instruction manual, the only light, the only map someone has may only be the way I live my life, the way you live your life....Someone is always watching.

A SPIRITUAL KINDERGARTEN

We are only operating a spiritual kindergarten in which
people are enabled to get over drinking and find the grace
to go on living to better effect.
AS BILL SEES IT, p. 95

When I came to A. A., I was run down by the bottle and
wanted to lose the obsession to drink, but I didn't really
know how to do that. I decided to stick around long enough
to find out from the ones who went before me. All of a
sudden I was thinking about God! I was told to get a Higher
Power and I had no idea what one looked like. I found out
there are many Higher Powers. I was told to find God, as I
understand Him, that there was no doctrine of the Godhead
in A.A. I found what worked for me and then asked that
Power to restore me to sanity. The obsession to drink was
removed and--one day at a time--my life went on, and I
learned how to live sober.

Mine was exactly the kind of deep-seated block we so often see today in new people who say they are atheistic or agnostic. Their will to disbelieve is so powerful that apparently they prefer a date with the undertaker to an open-minded and experimental quest for God.

Happily for me, and for most of my kind who have since come along in A.A., the constructive forces brought to bear in our Fellowship have nearly always overcome this colossal obstinacy. Beaten into complete defeat by alcohol, confronted by the living
proof of release, and surrounded by those who can speak to us from the heart, we have finally surrendered.

And then, paradoxically, we have found ourselves in a new dimension, the real world of spirit and faith. Enough willingness, enough open-mindedness--and there it is!

Thought for the day: There are those of us who have had to learn that chaos isn't really a normal state of living... It is me trying to wrestle satisfaction out of all the things outside of me ...,....while my inside starves and cries for attention and nourishment.

Thought for the day: Wouldn't life be grand if people would just do what we want them too,...the way we want them too,..because that's what they want to do. Sounds a little absurd doesn't it..?? Concerning the things of God, its not reality that he will force anyone to do what he wants us to do and so he sends warnings of impending problems if we live outside of his frame work....God is not a bully but because he created us and is highly aware of what harms us, he loves us enough to warn us because he wishes that none should perish....

Thought for the day: Life will come at you from every angle possible and will at times catch you off guard. Living life on "life's terms" means that life all by itself has problems and issues. The question that must be asked is this: Am I creating more problems for myself than is necessary..? Do I even know that I am doing this to myself and my life ..? Am I part of the problem or am I part of the solution..? Until we honestly look at this and actually take the time to ponder such things any change we wish for is still theoretically unreachable..... "YOU" have to be the one that changes, "if nothing changes then nothing changes". Life will not change for you but you can

Thought for the day: We can only hide our real selves for so long and then the truth comes out. If I am walking around this world trying to put on a false image of who I am then there are some internal problems. I either don't think your gonna like me the way I am, or "I" don't like me the way I am. Why is that...? What can we do to change this...? Trying to be something other than who you are is the reason this world is so fake....We all want to be something else....This is also another reason for addictions. I'm gonna think about this one all day.

Thought for the day: Light and dark cannot inhabit the same space.......Our minds cannot think on two things at once...If your having problems with your thought life then try replacing those thoughts with some bible verses...The word of God is light, the darkness cannot be where the light is... (I know it works )
