HOME: A National Juried Exhibition at Hera Gallery Hera Gallery (Wakefield, Rhode Island), juried by Heather Hakimzadeh, ran from May 16 through June 20, 2026. I was honored to have my piece, Stuff Long Forgotten, included in the exhibition.

The work offers a glimpse into the landscape of memory that shapes my sense of home. Centered on my mother's oven, it revisits fragments of childhood—sounds, smells, and moments that linger long after the objects themselves have disappeared. Through collage and layered imagery, Stuff Long Forgotten explores how home continues to exist in memory, carried forward in the things we remember and the meanings we attach to them. Mindful of the power of art as meaning maker.

Watching him explore his colorful little world inspired Piper's Paradise, a whimsical mixed-media home created for my aunt's beloved parrotlet, Piper. Mindful of life's simple joys.

Honored to have Suspended Becoming included in the 45th Annual Michigan Fine Arts Competition at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center. The Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center

There’s always something magical about seeing a piece leave the studio and find its place in a gallery. As I stood on the ladder making final adjustments, I was reminded that becoming is never a finished state—it’s an ongoing process of growth, balance, and transformation. Mindful of the ways art is an adventure that expands my thinking and takes me to magical places!

She Glows from the Inside Out

I'm honored to have had this assemblage included in the Sacred and Liturgical Art Exhibition at the M.G. Nelson Gallery through May 30, 2026.

My work is inspired by icons, shrines, rosaries, nature, and the spiritual objects that have shaped my life. Through layered assemblage, I explore memory, faith, and the presence of the sacred in everyday experience.

An LED light within the piece allows it to be viewed illuminated or unlit, creating two distinct expressions of the same work.

Mom's Quirky Lamp made its way home from the Edward Hopper House Museum after the "55 x 2, Part 2 Light National Juried Exhibition." I shared my work in this museum in the early 90's. Nice to reconnect with my New York roots and the Hudson River Valley. This Museum is in Nyack, NY, about 30 miles north of NYC and is the birthplace of Edward Hopper (1882-1967). The house was built by Hopper's grandfather and remained Hopper's home until 1908. I just realized Hopper passed just before I was born, which fascinates me. I grew up a short 10 minute drive from his birthplace and that intrigues me with Hopper even more. Of all his work, his Helga Pictures most resonate with me: they are breathtaking. It was an honor to share my work in the space where Hopper's creativity was first cultivated. Thank you for this opportunity.

Piper tweets nonstop every time I visit. He won't stop until I let him eat chia seeds off my finger. As I watched him eat, I noticed the magical world of bright colors and textures inside his cage. Piper became my muse in the creating of Piper's Paradise: a playful home for my aunt’s parrotlet, Piper. Mindful of the joy of unexpected inspiration.

✨ She Lights Up the Night ✨

Honored to have this assemblage piece included in the Sacred and Liturgical Art Exhibition at the M.G. Nelson Gallery through May 30, 2026.

Icons, shrines, rosaries, nature, and spiritual objects have always spoken to me. My work blends those influences into imperfect, intuitive assemblages that explore faith, memory, and spiritual presence.

She Lights Up the Night includes an LED element that allows the piece to be viewed illuminated or unlit, shifting its mood and presence. Mindful of light's power to bring hope, peace, and spiritual comfort.

Very Happy Tortoise is smiling at the opportunity to participate in 77th Member Exhibition, Off the Page. It's apropos, that Churro, our tortoise, is doing his best to crawl off this page. Maybe he's trying to find his way to a new home? Mindful of the opportunity to share with others.

Oh! This pink chair! When reading in it as a child, it was covered in green velvet. Its bigness made me feel warm and safe. Mom reupholstered it and I dyed it pink to try and cover up the fading fabric. I think I will need to pick a new covering eventually. Yet, I do appreciate its worn and loved look and feel. Maybe I just let it be: loved and lovely in its own way? I feel an impulse to reinvent it, but undecided on the direction. Thoughts anyone?

There’s something timeless about miniature worlds.

My dollhouses are rooted in the one I had as a child—the one I still have today. It wasn’t just a toy; it was a place where imagination stretched beyond its walls. Every room held a story. Every object carried a quiet kind of magic.

Now, as I create, I find myself returning to that same sense of wonder. I’m not just building small spaces—I’m revisiting memory, reimagining details, and letting intuition guide what belongs and what doesn’t. I am mindful of how these dollhouses become layered spaces of past and present, where childhood curiosity meets the artist I’ve become.

In each tiny room, I’m reminded: the smallest spaces can hold the biggest stories.
