Hallucinations are a common part of the dementia journey — and they can feel very real and unsettling for everyone involved. 💛
The good news: you don't need the "right" words. A calm voice, familiar surroundings, and a steady presence do more to ease distress than any correction ever could.
Meeting someone where they are — instead of correcting what they see or hear — builds trust and helps them feel safe. And feeling safe is half the battle.
