Clinical trials are an important part of advancing cancer treatment, but they're often misunderstood.

In this interview with KSL 5 TV, Dr. Justin Call and patient Katrina discuss common misconceptions, explain how clinical trials work, and share what the experience is actually like.

If you've ever wondered whether a clinical trial might be right for you or someone you love, this is a great place to start.

Thank you to KSL News and the START Center for Cancer Research for partnering with us to help educate our community about cancer clinical trials and the research that is shaping the future of cancer care.

Pioneer Day reminds us that progress begins with people willing to take the first step.

In cancer care, those pioneers include researchers, patients, healthcare teams, caregivers, survivors, and volunteers.

Every breakthrough we celebrate today exists because someone was willing to go first. Thank you to all the pioneers out there!

In honor of Sarcoma Awareness Month πŸŽ—οΈπŸŒ», a time to raise awareness about a rare cancer that often begins as a painless lump.

While most lumps are harmless, it's important to know the warning signs and when it's time to have one checked. Early detection can make a difference!

If you'd like to learn more about sarcoma, support resources, or ongoing research, visit the Sarcoma Alliance and the Sarcoma Foundation of America, Inc.

We're still reflecting on the incredible experience at Survivors at the Summit. Maggie Stevenson, a registered nurse at Utah Cancer Specialists, shared this heartfelt reflection:

"Survivors at the Summit is such a beautiful event. Our cancer patients and their families go through the unimaginable, and to get to see them up in the gorgeous Utah mountains, healing themselves through community, nature, and wellness, is just so inspiring."

Thank you to Survivor Wellness for hosting such a meaningful event. We are grateful to be part of a community that supports cancer survivors and their loved ones in so many ways.

Looking forward to this Thursday!

As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, we're reflecting on just a few of the remarkable people who helped shape the future of cancer treatment and research. πŸŽ†

Of course, these trailblazers represent only a small part of a much larger story. Progress against cancer has been made possible by countless individuals: researchers, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, clinical trial teams, volunteers, advocates, donors, caregivers, and, perhaps most importantly, patients who have courageously participated in research and inspired new discoveries.

Today, we are grateful for everyone who continues this work and for the communities that support it every day.

Happy 250th Birthday, America! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Here's to celebrating the people who make our country wonderful.
