At our cancer support group, Lisa, an oncology nurse, shared the story behind Lymphoma Leaving.

"[This patient] was a vibrant man who deeply loved his wife and children. Cancer changed his perspective on life. He often shared that it taught him to slow down, be present, and appreciate the people and moments that mattered most.”

"Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey."

It's a question that carries a different weight after cancer.

Christie shares the advice she would give her younger self before her diagnosis and the wisdom she's gained along the way.

πŸ’œJune is Cancer Survivor Month. Today, Heather shares how cancer has changed her perspective.πŸŽ—

β€œLast August, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. Overnight, everything else stopped. My treatment plan began immediately and has been incredibly intense. While the long-term outlook is bright, the daily reality is still an exhausting grind. I have celebrated numerous milestones, yet a long road lies ahead.

Walking this path has brought a whole new awareness of what it means to battle this horrendous disease. It takes a quiet, gritty kind of strength to get out of bed some days.

Cancer has undeniably and irreversibly changed me. Going through this stripped away the noise. It forced an immediate shift in focus to what actually matters to me: health, happiness, and the people I love.

I feel incredibly lucky to be here, backed by an amazing medical team at Utah Cancer Specialists and a personal support system that keeps me going every day. Thank you to everyone who has been in my corner!” - Heather

Effective treatment starts with early detection. Here are the basics you need to look for. Please share to help others learn what to look for, too!

One thing Christie shared that stayed with us was how her oncologist worked with her at a "friend-to-friend level."

That kind of trust matters.

We believe cancer care works best when doctors are willing to sit with patients as people: listening, explaining, and walking through each moment.

Thank you, Christie, for trusting us with your care and for sharing your experience!
