Last week, we had a local Girl Scout troop visit our community to play some great games with our residents. We had golfing, corn hole and a gigantic connect four set! The girls and the residents had a great time, and we already scheduled their next visit for some good old-fashioned table games!

At Brookdale South Bay, we like to encourage our residents to stay engaged and healthy through physical activities! One of our favorite activities is bowling. Here are some of our newest residents trying it out. It seems like they liked it!

As suggested by one of our residents, Brookdale South Bay is showcasing one country per month. We're doing several activities that reflect that country's culture.

This month, we focused on France! At the end of the month, we hosted a family night with a dinner. It was a huge hit, and everyone enjoyed themselves! We served French food, played French music and of course accompanied it with wine and champagne!

See you in Italy next month!!

It was Christmas in July at Brookdale South Bay this past week. We decorated tropical, all of our residents wore leis and everything and everyone looked festive. Frozen hot chocolate and sugar cookies were served. It was a nice change from the heat and humidity here in Rhode Island! Stay cool!

The choices were endless, and the taste was amazing! Our activity room was at full capacity as they waited for their deliveries!
