According to an ongoing national poll conducted by the University of Michigan, about 1 and 3 older adults experience loneliness or social isolation. Six year trends have shown that individuals with fair or poor physical and mental health are the most vulnerable.

Seniors who choose to age in place enjoy the comfort and familiarity of home, but they lack the socialization and personal contact provided by senior living communities and nursing homes. In-home companion care is a great solution to this by providing individuals with emotional support as well as transportation and support in attending social outings.
