Yellowstone. Timber and I may not be roping cattle on the Dutton family ranch but we still like to play cowboy in the hills of Sonoma.
π
Inspired by maybe the best show since Scrubs (thatβs right I said it) hereβs the history behind this Smilin Cowboy.
π
No Iβm not from Texas, yes Iβve roped cattle, No Iβve never owned a horse, yes cowboy is in my blood.
π
Thatβs what it boils down to for me; heritage. Farming and ranching is what my family did when they immigrated here 3 generations ago.
π
While the farm and ranch are gone I choose to celebrate my ancestors life. I had lost it going through college, trying to find myself, but when my grandfather passed down his hat, bolo, belt, and boots I felt the spirit lasso me and burn in its brand.
π
Itβs never to late to learn something about yourself. You donβt need permission to be anything you want to be.
π
Cowboys bent the rules, lived a life of substance, and refused to conform to anyone elseβs mold.
π
So this Minnesota boy is going to keep horsing around with a big olβ smile to match his big ol hat
