“You can be celebrated on a streaming service and defunded by a signature in the same summer.”

Medicaid pays for disabled actor and comedian Steve Way's ventilator, motorized wheelchair, and daily support. These services make it possible for him to get out of bed, work, and live in his community.

More disabled people are being represented in movies and television. But representation cannot replace the services that give people the freedom to live in their own homes, make their own choices, and build the lives they want.

Ready to turn a passion for food into a pathway to employment? 👩‍🍳🍽️

JESPY House’s Pathways to Success program is now enrolling! Eligible adults age 18+ with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) will receive hands-on culinary training, job coaching, employment support, and ServSafe preparation.

Classes begin September 15, and there is no cost to eligible participants.

At JESPY House, Inc., our ultimate goal is to see our clients advancing toward independence, and today we want to celebrate Brian for doing exactly that!

Brian is a shared housing resident. Also, over the last few months, Brian has embraced everything our community has to offer. He is an active participant in our Day Program, a regular on our Engagement & Enrichment (EEP) trips, and a fantastic friend to his peers. Most excitingly, his growing confidence has empowered him to take a massive step forward: he recently started working at & Shop !

JESPY House, Inc.Community, You rock! The hundreds of emails and phone calls you collectively made to PSEG leadership and the NJ Board of Public Utilities have made an immediate impact!

PSEG came on site the very next day and worked continuously to complete temporary service yesterday, July 23, 2026.

We are back on site and have resumed construction of The JESPY Center - for our clients.

You made this happen and we are enormously grateful to you.

Today, JESPY Day Program clients turned up the volume with the Blue Light Music Program! 🎶🥁🎤

Clients explored drums, microphones, and other instruments while creating music and songs of their own choosing. The interactive experience encouraged creativity, collaboration, self-expression, and confidence as clients worked alongside their peers and instructors.
We loved seeing everyone discover new sounds, share their talents, and experience the joy of making music together! 💙
