That is what the dining room at Origins is for! Chef Rosa runs the kitchen, and everyone here is obsessed with her and her food. She cooks every meal with care and it shows!

Gail Brettmann is our new Alumni Services Liaison supporting Origins and Cypress Lake! Gail is a Recovery Support Peer Specialist with five years of experience in the behavioral health and recovery field. Drawing from her own journey of recovery, she brings a depth of understanding to this work. Gail believes lasting recovery is possible for anyone willing to do the work, and she's committed to walking alongside others as they discover healing and purpose. Her faith, personal experience, and dedication to service shape everything she does.

Join our team on South Padre Island! We're growing our men's campus team and looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals to join us as Recovery Advocates. We currently have two full-time positions open, along with a PRN opportunity for those seeking a flexible role.

As a Recovery Advocate, you'll be a steady, supportive presence for clients who are seeking treatment for substance abuse and co-occurring mental health challenges. You'll serve as a bridge between clients and our clinical team. You'll help facilitate 12-step lectures and group discussions, assist with transportation to appointments, and play a hands-on role in the admission and discharge process.

We're looking for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. Experience in a helping profession is a plus, and if you're in recovery yourself, two years of continuous sobriety is preferred. Most importantly, we're looking for people who care.

We often get compliments about how beautiful and well-maintained Origins is, so we'd like to spotlight the man who deserves the praise! Meet Wally Tijerina, our Director of Facilities. For nearly five years, Wally has made sure every space here runs safely and smoothly. When he's not on-site, you'll find him fishing and soaking up time outdoors. "I take pride in creating safe, reliable environments that allow others to focus on delivering care and making a meaningful difference in people's lives." We're so grateful for the dedication and care that Wally brings to the table.
