10 centimeters. What does that actually mean?

Most people know the number. Far fewer understand what’s actually happening to get there and that gap can make labor feel a lot scarier than it needs to be.

Here, Noelle is showing exactly how the cervix changes during labor — from hard like the tip of your nose, to soft like your lips. It’s one of those moments where everything clicks.

This is the kind of education we bring to every class.

The Immersion — June 27th · $250
The Circle — Starts July 6th · $500

Built for unmedicated birth in any setting. Link in bio to register. ✨

Postpartum care shouldn’t begin at 6 weeks.

At Moxie Birth, it starts the moment your baby is born and it doesn’t stop there. Kelsey breaks down exactly what postpartum care looks like when you birth with us.

Five visits. In your home and in office. Because the fourth trimester deserves as much attention as the birth itself.

Schedule a tour to learn more about our care.

Nobody warned you about this one.
Yeast infections are really common in the postpartum period and not talked about enough.

Hormonal shifts, antibiotics, and the general chaos of postpartum recovery all play a role.

Swipe to learn why they happen, what to look for, and how to treat them. When in doubt, air it out!

And as always, if something doesn’t feel right, reach out. That’s what we’re here for.

How your doula preps you for your out-of-hospital birth?

Caryn, our student midwife at Moxie Birth and doula within our community breaks it down. The mental preparation, the guidance, and the continuity of care that doesn’t stop if you transfer to the hospital.
This is why we highly recommend adding a doula to your team.

We wish everyone could see and hear a birth before their own.

The screaming. The roaring. The sounds you didn’t know your body could make.

Instagram births are often serene with a beautiful instrumental playing. Real births are sometimes like that and sometimes they’re loud, primal, and completely outside of what you imagined.

Both are normal. Both are valid. Both are birth.

Sara is here to remind you that however it sounds, your body is doing exactly what it needs to do. 💜

A partner’s hands.
A doula’s steadiness.
A team that knows exactly what to do.

This is the kind of support that changes a birth. And it’s not something you stumble into. It’s something you prepare for.

The Circle is our 4-week childbirth education series, built by a midwife and taught by doulas who know what unmedicated birth actually looks like — in a birth center, at home, or in a hospital.

Starts June 1st. Link in bio to register.

When should you start pumping?

Kate, our Director of Lactation, recommends waiting until breastfeeding is well established — typically around 2 to 4 weeks postpartum. This gives your body time to regulate supply and helps your baby learn to latch before introducing a bottle.

If your family has specific considerations, Kate can help you figure out the right timing for your situation.

A note for those pumping from the start — if you’re dealing with supply challenges, latch pain, or your baby is in the NICU or you’re separated for any reason, early pumping is absolutely the right call. Work with a lactation specialist to guide your pumping journey.

Every feeding journey is different.

Join us at Feeding Together — our monthly infant feeding support group, every second Friday of the month. Link in bio for details.
