Hi! I’m Carly, the board-certified music therapist behind Ecotones!

I’m originally from New York and now based in southern Maine. While living in New York, I taught music at a self-contained school for students with disabilities while completing my degree in Music Therapy at New York University. I hold a master’s degree in Special Education in addition to my master’s degree in Music Therapy.

I’ve worked with individuals and groups of many different ages, abilities, and backgrounds across a wide range of settings including: homes, schools, hospitals, early childhood programs, group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, adult day programs and more.

As a strong advocate of the neurodiversity movement, I work from a humanistic, strengths-based perspective. I believe deeply in meeting folks where they are and honoring each person’s unique ways of being, communicating, and engaging with the world.
