Long Island's first Life Plan Community. All-inclusive Type A Life Care.

Jefferson's Ferry is a Life Plan Community, with independent residential living for adults age 62 or better, providing services and amenities, and long-term care on-site, at no additional cost (should it be needed). Residents live in their own apartments or cottages, decorated with their own furnishings and cherished possessions.

Jefferson’s Ferry is proud to be featured in Newsday’s look at how Long Island senior living communities are using virtual reality to create engaging, immersive experiences for residents.
At Jefferson’s Ferry’s Vincent Bove Health Center, residents use the Rendever virtual reality system to explore destinations around the world, revisit meaningful places and enjoy experiences ranging from African safaris to museum tours and hot-air balloon rides.
The technology is also used twice weekly in memory care, where immersive experiences can spark enjoyment, conversation and reminiscence.

Resident Lester Paldy, was recently profiled by Newsday for his extraordinary life and career as a Marine veteran, longtime Stony Brook University professor and former CIA operative.

In the feature, Lester shares fascinating stories from his work in nuclear arms control and intelligence, experiences he also chronicles in his memoir, No Cloak, No Dagger: A Professor’s Secret Life Inside the CIA.
