Congratulations to Vicki Ross, occupational therapist, and Julie Flowers, RN in our outpatient department, for being recognized as Service First Champions.

Vicki consistently goes above and beyond for both our Inpatient Rehab patients and staff, but one of the most visible examples of her servant leadership is the care and dedication she pours into our mobility garden each spring. Every year she transforms it into a beautiful, welcoming environment complete with vibrant flower beds, decorative pots, bird feeders, and even a growing vegetable garden. The mobility garden is much more than landscaping. It provides our therapy patients with meaningful, functional rehabilitation opportunities in a calming and uplifting environment.

Julie is an exceptional nurse with such a kind heart who shows care and compassion and goes the extra mile to show love to her fellow team members and patients. Most same day surgery units focus on getting the patients in, surgeries completed and patients discharged. Numerous times Julie has reached out to social work, chaplain, and other resources to help our patients. These Service First Champions exhibit so much kindness and compassion.
