Functional vision therapy is a research-based rehabilitation approach that uses targeted exercises and neuroplasticity principles to improve how the eyes and brain work together. Rather than focusing only on eyesight (clarity), it addresses the visual skills that impact reading, writing, coordination, attention, and overall developmental milestones. By strengthening underlying visual foundations, therapy improves functional performance at home, school, and in daily activities.

Welcome to the team, Ashley!

Ashley Robertson is a certified occupational therapy assistant with 10 years of clinical experience graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Bloomsburg University (2005) and an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from Penn State Berks (2015). Ashley holds multiple specialty certifications, including Pediatric Kinesiology Taping, Animal-Assisted Therapy, and is a Certified Functional Vision Rehab Specialist. She is also trained in Handwriting without tears and AEIOU Feeding Therapy. Her professional achievements include AOTA specialty badges in Early Identification and Cancer Rehabilitation Level 1, and she is recognized by NBCOT for her expertise in pediatric therapy.
