Who would have guessed that marvel movies could grow you closer to your grown kids šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

We all struggle from time to time with our grown kids and I’m certain we all want healthy, connected relationships with them.

So perhaps instead of wishing they would connect more with us, we make it our job to connect more with them.

We take time to get know and understand their interests.

And we actively seek out ways to engage with them and spend time with them doing things that they enjoy.

It sounds simple and maybe a little obvious, but often the simple things get overlooked and yet, they often have the biggest impact.

The new Superman movie premiers today.

I’ve been waiting all year for it and receiving and sharing reels and trailers from and with my son in these months leading up to it.

He may not text me to see how my day is going or to check in, but I’m glad at least he’s texting me- lol! 😘

I love our common ground and I so enjoy this shared experience.

In what ways can you connect with your grown kids today?

One of the biggest transitions in midlife isn’t just changing hormones or an empty nest.

It’s changing relationships.

As our children grow up and life looks different, many women quietly find themselves feeling more disconnected and lonely than they ever expected.

But we weren’t created to do life alone. šŸ¤

Community isn’t a luxury—it’s part of God’s design for us.

If you’re in a season where you’re longing for deeper friendships and genuine connection, please know you’re not the only one.

And I truly believe it’s never too late to build meaningful relationships.

Relationships usually don’t improve by winning an argument.

They grow and become stronger when someone chooses humility, self-control, and the willingness to truly listen.

What if, before our next conversation, we prayed for ears that listen more than lips that speak?

A simple biblical principle... that could transform our marriages, friendships, and relationships with our grown children.

šŸ¤ ā€œBe quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.ā€ — James 1:19

Being a mom is hard, it doesn’t matter how old your kids are šŸ¤

Maybe you don’t have it all figured out yet because you aren’t meant to.

There’s so much freedom in letting go of expectations for the next phase of life and trusting God with your next chapter.

He’s got it, so we don’t have tošŸ¤
