We love a sneaky treatment whenever we can 🤫 So, what exactly is Vivace?

Vivace uses microneedling with radiofrequency technology to stimulate collagen production to help alleviate fine lines and help to tighten the skin. The treatment itself is minimally invasive and offers very little downtime. Vivace is unique to traditional microneedling in that the radio frequency uses
‘heat’ to damage the inner layers of the skin to offer optimal collagen stimulation. This in turn causes the skin to look more youthful, minimize the look of fine lines, pore size and overall skin tone and texture. This is exactly why your provider should be asking about recent sun exposure before IPL. 😭

IPL targets pigment, which means treating tanned skin can also target the melanin you actually want to keep. Hopefully the contrast will improve as her tan fades, but hypopigmentation can take a long time to recover and in some cases may be permanent.

Alice Shkreli, RN, BSN learned this lesson the hard way on her own arms when she was a brand new nurse with way too much confidence and very tan October arms. 😂

When your provider tells you to stay out of the sun before your IPL, PLEASE listen.
