In our strength sessions we’re training strength endurance. Lifting moderate loads for longer durations.

In our Olympic lifting sessions, we’re pushing our front squats to close to 90%.

And in our HYROX training sessions, we continue the mission to build our cardiovacular and endurance capacity.

Shoutout to the Workhorse crew heading to this weekend. Collectively, this group has put in countless hours of running, strength training, and HYROX-specific training sessions. Early mornings, late nights, weekends…the work has been put in and we could not be more proud of these athletes. Now, we have fun. !!!! 🗽🇺🇸

‼️ATTENTION parents! Our June Junior Athlete Strength & Power Development Series begins this coming Monday, June 1.

We cap our class max at a very low athlete:coach ratio to allow for a high level of personal attention, ensuring the safest, most effective learning environment for our developing athletes. We currently only have three spots remaining open for our June series.

This series focuses on plyometrics, proper movement mechanics in foundational lifts transferrable to all sports, gym etiquette, and creating an overall comfort, belonging, and love of being in the weight room for lifelong healthy habits.

Coming up this week, we’re moving into a heavy phase within our Strength & Conditioning program.

We continue to progress our Clean & Jerk in our Weightlifting program.

And, as always, we’re building our aerobic base in our training sessions.

REPS: literally equals 🟰 repetitions. As in, a movement pattern repeated continuously over time leading to proficiency, progress, and strength within that movement.

Our program isn’t entertaining. It isn’t fancy or highly technical.

However, it is rooted in science and delivered by coaches backed by years of exercise science education. It is repetitive, predictable, measurable…dare we say…monotonous. And it is proven effective.

More is not better. Better is better. 👌🏼

We’d say Hypertrophy/Strength week is our favorite week of our 5-week undulating cycle…but we say every week is our favorite.

sometimes gets a bad rap for being the “aesthetic” middle between absolute strength and muscular endurance, but we stand firm behind its importance in actual health and performance.

✅ Muscle mass is key contributor in metabolic efficiency and overall health
✅ Muscle mass, quite literally, protects the body by supporting joints, improving posture, and absorbing force to reduce the risk of injury
✅ Hypertrophy training contributes to improved bone density and reduces the risk of sarcopenia as we age

These are only a FEW benefits of this type of training. And a little pump never hurt anyone. 🤨💪🏼 So, we’ll see you this week.
