If your child struggles with chronic constipation: Only pooping every 3-5 days. Hard, painful movements. Stomach aches. Withholding because it hurts. Accidents because they’re backed up. 💩💚

Here’s what’s actually happening:
Digestion is controlled by your nervous system. Nerves from lower spine (L1-L3) and sacrum control: bowel motility, muscle contractions in intestines, sphincter control, “urge to go” signals.

When your child’s spine is out of balance, nerve signals to their colon get disrupted. Motility slows and constipation becomes chronic.

Restless leg syndrome is ruining your sleep - and it’s not “just in your head.” It’s a nervous system communication issue🦵💚

That overwhelming urge to move your legs. The creeping, crawling, tingling sensations. Worse at night when you’re trying to rest. Only relieved temporarily by movement and then it starts again. Over and over and all night.

You dread bedtime. Your partner is exhausted from your constant movement. You’ve tried magnesium, stretching, and warm baths, yet nothing gives lasting relief.

Here’s what’s happening:
Restless leg syndrome is miscommunication between your brain and legs. Nerves from your lower spine (L2-L5) control leg sensation and movement. When these nerves are compressed or irritated from spinal imbalance, sensory signals get scrambled. Your brain receives constant “move your legs” signals even though there’s no reason to move.

Common causes of nerve compression:
-Sitting all day (lumbar spine imbalance)
-Pregnancy (pelvic shifts + hormones)

Your “clumsy” kid isn’t careless - they might have proprioception issues. And that’s a nervous system problem that’s addressable. 🤕💚

Your child constantly: bumps into furniture, trips over nothing, falls way more than peers, drops things, struggles with coordination, gets hurt often, seems “unaware” of their body in space.
Teachers say “they’re just clumsy” or “need to be more careful.”

But they’re TRYING. They just can’t.
This is proprioception - your brain’s ability to know where your body is in space without looking. Right now you know where your feet are without looking down. That’s proprioception.

When proprioception is off: Brain isn’t getting clear signals from body. Kid doesn’t know exactly where limbs are. Can’t gauge distance. Uses too much or too little force. Constantly bumping, tripping, falling.
It’s not clumsiness. It’s neurological.

Why it gets disrupted:
Proprioceptive signals travel through spine to brain. When spine is out of balance (very common in kids), signals get disrupted.

Common causes: Birth trauma (forceps, vacuum, C-section), learning to walk (hundreds of falls), growth spurts, poor posture from screens, sports impacts.
When upper cervical spine (C1-C2) is out of balance, it affects cerebellum and brainstem - which process proprioceptive information. Brain can’t accurately process where body is in space.

How chiropractic helps:
Upper cervical adjustments improve brainstem/cerebellum communication. Full spine balance reduces interference in proprioceptive pathways. Nervous system regulation helps integrate sensory information.

What parents tell us: “My son was constantly bruised from bumping into everything. After care, his coordination improved dramatically.”
Improved proprioception = better coordination, fewer falls, improved sports performance, more confidence.

Also support with: Heavy work activities (pushing, pulling, carrying, jumping, climbing), balance work, cross-body movements (crawling, swimming), barefoot time (feet have tons of proprioceptive sensors).

Nobody wants to talk about bedwetting after age 5, but so many families are dealing with it in secret.

You’ve tried everything. Limiting drinks after 6pm, waking them up twice a night, pull-ups they hate wearing, reward charts that make everyone feel bad when they don’t work.

Your pediatrician says “they’ll grow out of it” while you watch your child’s self-esteem crumble with every wet sheet.

They’re refusing sleepovers, camp, overnight trips. Carrying shame for something they literally cannot control.

Your child is not lazy and they’re not doing this on purpose. Their nervous system physically cannot send the signal from their bladder to their brain during sleep.

Bladder control - especially nighttime - is controlled by nerves from the lower spine (L2-L4) and sacrum. These nerves tell your child’s brain when their bladder is full during sleep so they can wake up.
When the lower spine or sacrum are out of balance (from birth trauma, learning to walk and falling hundreds of times, sports impacts, growth spurts), those nerve signals don’t transmit properly. The bladder fills, but the brain doesn’t get the message.

This is not a behavior problem. This is a sign of nervous system dysfunction.

Imagine your child waking up to dry sheets, consistently, saying yes to sleepovers without panic in their eyes. They are able to go to camp without you packing pull-ups. The relief on their face, confidence coming back, shame lifting.

Ear infections are NOT a normal part of being a kid. 👂

If your child is getting 6-8 ear infections a year, you’re stuck in the antibiotic cycle, or your pediatrician is talking about ear tubes - this is for you.

Did you know that TRUE ear infections happen when fluid gets trapped in the middle ear?
But the real question is WHY isn’t the fluid draining?

—>Upper cervical (neck) dysfunction and nervous system stress.

The nerves that control eustachian tube drainage, lymphatic flow, and immune response all come from the upper cervical spine. When there’s imbalance and tension (from birth trauma, falls, or positioning), those nerves can’t function properly.

Your kid’s eczema isn’t a skin problem. It’s an inflammation problem. 🌿

If you’re stuck in the steroid cream cycle - flare-up, treat, temporary relief, repeat - you’re not alone. And you’re not crazy for thinking there has to be a better way.

Eczema and hives are your child’s body pushing internal inflammation OUT through the skin.
But where does that inflammation come from?
The nervous system.

Strep bacteria is everywhere. Most people are exposed but don’t get infected. So why do YOU keep getting sick?

Do you notice changes in your kids behavior at this time of year? You aren’t imagining it. This time of year can be really hard on some kiddos especially as the season is changing. 🌸

If your sweet kid is suddenly melting down over EVERYTHING - wrong color cup, socks that “feel weird,” leaving the park - welcome to spring nervous system chaos.

Here’s what’s happening:
Daylight Saving Time disrupted their circadian rhythm. Sleep deprivation = dysregulation = tantrums.

Temperature fluctuations (70° one day, 40° the next) - their bodies are constantly adapting. Regulation requires stability. Spring is chaos.

Longer daylight = more stimulation = harder to wind down = overtiredness.

Seasonal allergies create inflammation even in kids without diagnosed allergies. Histamine = irritability.

Routine changes - more outdoor time, different activities.
Toddlers thrive on routine. Spring disrupts it.

Sensory overload - brighter sun, louder birds, new textures, different smells. OVERWHELMING.
