Sabita Holistic Center

Sabita Holistic Center We offer workplace and in‑center wellness services that help people reduce stress, ease pain, and recover from heavy workloads. We are more than chair massage.

We support teams who spend long hours sitting, standing, focusing, or caring for others. https://mtr.bio/realisticholisticchick Sabita Holistic Center is a local woman-owned business in Southport started by Sabita Kanhai in 2002, with the passion to bring integrative health into a friendly, nurturing and private atmosphere that allows people to feel good and get better quicker. SHC partners with o

rganizations and individuals who want to move through work and life with less pain and less overwhelm. Many workplaces are full of people who are tense, exhausted, and carrying far more than anyone can see, from long hours at a desk to emotional labor to complex health journeys. We offer hands-on care and simple, practical tools that help people release tension, regulate their nervous systems, and feel safer and more at ease in their bodies. For organizations, we bring support right into your workplace through on-site stress relief sessions, recovery support for desk-based employees, and workshops on nervous system resilience and communication. Employees can also continue care in our center using benefits-friendly options. For individuals, we offer services focused on pain relief, stress recovery, and support for serious or chronic health conditions. We are a partner in helping your people feel better so they can live and work with greater capacity. Every Friday we pull one product off our shelf and tell you why it earned its spot. This week: the Conscious Coconut Bamboo Dry Brush.

Here's the thing about your lymphatic system. It doesn't have its own pump the way your heart does. It relies on movement. So when your skin looks tired or your legs feel heavy by Wednesday, gentle external stimulation is one of the simplest ways to give it a nudge. 💧

That's the whole idea behind dry brushing. Three minutes, head to toe, before you shower. The firm bamboo bristles sweep across the skin and leave behind that warm, tingling, fully awake feeling you don't expect from something so low effort. Clients tell us their skin feels noticeably softer within the first week or two. ⚡️

Sustainable bamboo handle, natural bristles, no plastic, no packaging you'll feel guilty about. A ritual that treats your skin and the planet with the same respect. 🎍

Grab one on your way out after your next appointment, or stop in and we'll walk you through how to use it. Call for pricing, and ask us what else we're quietly obsessed with right now. 💬

Happy September!!!!

We are entering a month filled with important awareness moments, and behind every one is a person, a family, and a story. 💗💚

At SHC, we believe awareness is more than recognizing a name on a calendar. It’s about listening, learning, showing compassion, and reminding people that they don’t have to navigate their health journey alone.

This month, we’re holding space for the individuals and communities represented by these causes. Whether you’re personally navigating a challenge, supporting someone you love, or simply learning more, your story matters. 💗

We’re here to support you with personalized care, education, and a little reminder to slow down and take care of yourself, too. 🌿

Awareness starts with noticing. Care starts with listening...

Drop a 💗 below to show your support for everyone navigating a health journey, supporting a loved one, or raising awareness this September.

Sabita Shortcuts 🧠✨

Ever feel like your body is resting, but your brain is still at work? 😵‍💫

Sometimes the hardest part of slowing down isn’t finding the time...it’s getting your mind to stop carrying everything at once.

This is your reminder that you don’t have to figure everything out today. Start by creating a little space, choosing what truly needs your attention, and letting the rest wait.

That’s the kind of wellness we believe in at SHC: practical, realistic, and rooted in how your mind and body actually work. 🌿

So… what’s taking up space in your mental tabs today? 👀

"When was the last time you had s*x? When was the last time you thought about having s*x because you actually wanted to?"

Our client Kitty Berry asked these questions in the studio recently, highlighting a struggle so many people face: losing your spark, motivation, and intimate connection.

Kitty suggested reading a romance novel for fresh inspiration. 📚 She is onto something real: engaging stories stimulate dopamine, the brain chemical driving desire.

While a good book is a great spark, long dry spells often need a few more tools. Low desire is rarely a personal flaw. Usually, it is your body reacting to a stressed nervous system.

The Science Behind the Shutdown:
- High stress floods your body with cortisol, signaling survival mode. When overwhelmed, libido is the first thing to shut off.
- Most adults experience responsive desire rather than spontaneous desire. Creating the right environment comes before feeling in the mood.

4 Ways to Reconnect with Your Desire:

1. Take the pressure off. Put s*x on hold for two weeks and focus purely on touch without expectations, like a long hug or back rub.
2. Prime your brain with novelty. Try new date spots or activities together to trigger dopamine.
3. Support your sleep and hormones. Fatigue suppresses drive. Rest and morning sunlight help balance your stress hormones.
4. Unload mental weight. Sharing daily responsibilities creates space to shift from manager mode into a romantic state.

Rebuilding intimacy takes time and self-compassion. 🤍 What is one way you can give yourself space to unwind this week? Tell us below! 👇

When life takes an unexpected turn, our first instinct can be to figure everything out right away. But sometimes, the most helpful thing we can do is pause. 🌿

Our bodies are constantly responding to what’s happening around us. Learning to notice those signals can help us move through transitions with a little more awareness and intention.

A different path doesn’t necessarily mean the wrong path. Sometimes, it’s simply a new one.

What’s something that has changed in your life recently that required you to adjust? Comment below!💭

Going back to college can be exciting… but your body may not be as excited as your brain is. 🎓

New routines, new responsibilities, deadlines, moving, social pressure and trying to find your balance again can create a lot of tension and stress.

Before the semester gets busy, take a moment to reset.

Fiona offers restorative care at SHC and incorporates practices such as Jin Shin Jyutsu, a gentle, touch-based practice that encourages relaxation and greater awareness of the body.

✨ Fiona is available this weekend.

If you’re heading back to school and could use some time to slow down and reconnect with yourself, this is your sign.
