Dennis Gabbitas

Dennis Gabbitas, age 77, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026. He was born on October 2, 1948, and was raised in Spanish Fork, the town he always considered home.

Dennis was a hardworking man, devoted husband, and loving father who cared deeply for his family. He spent many years working as a Teamster truck driver, dedicating his life to providing for those he loved. Known as a good man with a caring heart, Dennis valued family above all else.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Gabbitas, and his children: Teresa, Shelly, Belinda, Chad, Stacy, Scott, Lori, Emily, and Hailey. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Justine.

Dennis also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him joy throughout his life.

Dennis enjoyed the simple things in life — western movies, country music, crossword puzzles, and chocolate candy. He loved his hometown of Spanish Fork and the people closest to him. His strength, love for family, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He will be remembered always with love.

Lynn N Shoell

Lynn N. Shoell, 82, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, at Utah Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Lynn was born on May 6, 1944, in Neola, Utah, to P. Ned Shoell and Beth Hutcheon Shoell. He spent his early childhood in Neola, where he developed a deep love for the Uinta Mountains and the outdoors. Even after the family later moved to Orem, they continued spending time in the Uinta Basin and the Uintah Mountains throughout the summers. Lynn also enjoyed working alongside his father and helping care for their Arabian horses, creating memories and a work ethic that stayed with him throughout his life.

Shortly after graduating from Orem High School, Lynn joined the Utah National Guard. He later attended school to become a mechanic and spent most of his life working alongside his father and brother, Neil, as a mechanic at a truck stop and gas station, specializing in diesel mechanics.

On November 28, 1985, Lynn married the love of his life, Sadie “Syd” Shoell. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, adventure, and cherished memories. Lynn and Syd loved camping, traveling, and spending time outdoors with friends and family. Lynn especially loved the many golf trips he and Syd took with their friends over the years. One of Lynn’s favorite places was Cody, Wyoming, especially visiting the cowboy museum. He was known for his sense of humor, his love of fun, and the way he could make people laugh. Lynn deeply loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them.

He is survived by his sister, Diane (Kenny) Bringhurst; his sister-in-law, Reva Shoell; his stepson, Brook (Monica) Beckstrom; and stepdaughter, Bobbi Wright. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Brieanna and (Nicholas) Garner, and their children Aurora and Frankie; Trevor McKell, and his children Roenick and Zakary; Sadie and (Nate) Robinson; TJ and (Josie) Beckstrom, and their children Dally Jo, Crew, and Taylon; Shelby Lynn and (Chazz) Putnam, and their sons Daxton, Bodee, and Asher; Randi Jo and (Hayes) Hall, and their children Collins and Hawkins; and Travis and (Brooklyn) Beckstrom. Lynn is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews whom he treated like his own children, especially Angie, Selby, Corben, and Jennie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sadie “Syd” Shoell; his parents; his brother, Neil Shoell; stepson Mike McKell; and other beloved family members waiting to welcome him home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 29, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at: 1311 East 400 North Spanish Fork, Utah Lynn will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but his family finds comfort knowing he is reunited with Syd and those who passed before him. His laughter, stories, and love for life will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
