Celebrating AL Week’s 2026 theme “Shining Through the Years” has been a fun trip into the past and a gentle reminder to always live in the present. Reminiscing about ourselves as innocent children who are stepping into a brave new world and coming out on the other side as mothers, fathers, aunts, and uncles, worldly and with determination, a little wiser has been a joyful gift.

We shine because of the light from family and friends, old and new, that reflects back on us all and remains in our hearts as treasured memories.

How fitting to end with a Big Beach Bash as we bid summer adieu and embrace the fall. Tomorrow is Pajama Day, a much needed reset after a spectacular week of immersing ourselves in the radiant history of friends and staff.

Let us press on, into the gleaming sunset, together.

Yesterday’s Country Cottage spotlight was on our resident Esther! Her daughter, Lilly, joined us and told us all about Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 where Esther was born and raised and shared pictures and yummy Puerto Rican snacks such as Coquito! We had a blast dancing as well! 💃 Thank you Esther and Lilly!!
