We stayed in an adorable villiage hut the "Orc Hut" at the Ancient Lore Village in the Appalachian Mountains just outside of Knoxville, TN. The Village was designed by Tom Boyd, the author of a children's book "Bokee's Trek - Outcasts to the Inner Earth".
The book contains descriptions of 8 mystical creatures in the 2nd and 3rd dimension: Willows, Dwarfs, Elves, Leprechaun, Fairies, Orcs, Gremlins, Yetis and with descriptions of their environment, families and homes.
All 8 mystical creatures lived in different worlds and were forbade to meet or intermingle or they would be cast to the Inner-World filled with fire and brimstone. Yet, there was access to the different worlds via mist portals.
Bokee, a Willow, was curious and disobeyed the law. He entered the mist vortex and ended up traveling 7 times through the misty veil and was made to visit the homes of all 7 friendly creatures before he could return home. When he passed through the veil in each world he was greated by a creature of that world: Dwarfs, Elves, Leprechaun, Fairies, Orcs, Gremlins, and Yetis. The creature in each world invited Bokee to their home and hid him as they traveled to meet their family. Each species thought that their unique differences were superior to any other breed of mystical creatures whom they have never met due to being forbidden. The World of Man in the 1st dimension were allowed to intermingle and they were destroying themselves over foolishness.
When Bokee finally returned to his home village after visiting all the worlds and creatures through the mist veil, he was met by his leader who banished Bokee and his family to Inner Earth. He was to follow a trail to his family's death. Along the way, each family of mystical creatures that he visited and had welcomed him in the other worlds, also came through the mist having been banished as well. When they reached the Inner World they found a tablet where it said,
"In the villiage of the Willows, I selected a young man, Bokee, who is with you now, to find out if there really could be a better world. My goal was to see if, in each valley, there would be at least one family who would welcome him. People of each valley had long lived with the knowledge that anyone welcoming a stranger would be banished to a place that I created in their minds in the Inner-World, which was fire and brimstone. To be banned there was certain death.
To accept a stranger would take courage and also an acceptance of a different species of people.
All of you have passed the test. You will be entering a new world as you proceed down through this path... Your new world will be named 'Ancient Lore Village.'"
The necklace with white sapphire that I am wearing is the Unity Stone Medallion.
Who knew Spring could produce a living, real Autumn Maple that I found as I walked to Hammock Haven. Well, it is a mystical village.
Founder and Visionary, Tom Boyd, had a vision: Create a place where characters from different worlds could live together in peace and harmony in a place where only good, genuine goodness, exists. This was the beginning of what is now Ancient Lore Village, a boutique resort and event venue.
Why did Tom build this Village?
Rooted in unity, connection, and story, Ancient Lore Village brings people together in a welcoming, one-of-a-kind setting. Through curated experiences and intentional design, we foster peace, harmony, and lasting memories, transforming hospitality into something truly meaningful.
Here, the story of Bokee came to life! In Bokee’s Trek: Outcasts To Inner Earth, the main protagonist, Bokee, takes an incredible journey and meets many different characters. Ultimately, Bokee discovers that, no matter their differences, they can all live in peace, joy, harmony, and happiness - in a place where only good exists. A place they call Ancient Lore Village.
