Crawling isn’t optional. It’s foundational.
In pediatric physical therapy, this phase develops:
• Core and shoulder stability
• Bilateral coordination
• Motor planning
• Spatial awareness
These are the systems that support standing, cruising, and independent walking.
When crawling is delayed, skipped, or inefficient, we don’t “wait and see.”
We assess, guide, and intervene early—because early input changes outcomes.
This is the work: targeted movement, repetition, and progression—delivered through play, with clinical intent.
If you’re unsure whether your child’s development is on track, get clarity early.
