If you asked us to recommend just one healthy habit, walking would be near the top of the list.
Walking is one of the best things you can do for your heart, your mood, and your overall health.
So if you're walking regularly...
Keep going!
But here's something many people don't realize:
Walking does very little to slow the natural loss of muscle that comes with aging.
And muscle matters.
It's what helps you:
πͺ Get up from a chair with ease.
π Carry groceries without straining.
π§ Pick up your grandkids.
πͺ Climb stairs confidently.
βοΈ Stay steady on your feet.
Think of it this way...
Walking is excellent for your engine.
Strength training builds your frame.
You need both if you want your body to keep serving you well for years to come.
That doesn't mean spending hours in a gym or lifting heavy weights.
A couple of well-planned strength sessions each week can make a tremendous difference in how you move, feel, and function.
At Cross Chiropractic & Conditioning, we believe movement and strength work together. That's why our approach doesn't stop at helping people feel betterβwe want to help them stay capable for the long haul.
π¬ How many days a week do you usually go for a walk?
