July 28 is World Hepatitis Day
The CDC estimates that for every 100 people with HIV, approximately 21 of them also have Hepatitis C (HCV). (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2021)
The only way to know if you have HCV and/or HIV is to get tested. HCV is now a curable disease and HIV can be treated with medication.
