Wearing colored contacts for Halloween? Here’s what most people don’t know 🎃👁️

Yes, you can, but not the way most costume shops sell them. Even “zero-correction” lenses need a prescription, fit matters more than color, and they’re custom-ordered after a proper fitting, so this isn’t a last-minute costume piece.

Get it right, and they’re genuinely safe (and the best part of the costume).

Your child’s prescription just got stronger again? That’s not a glasses problem, that’s a disease progressing 👁️

The good news is there are four options that can actually slow down myopia progression:
1️⃣ MiSight 1 day contact lenses
2️⃣ Orthokeratology (Ortho-K)
3️⃣ Low-dose atropine
4️⃣ Myopia control spectacle lenses

It isn’t about avoiding glasses. Higher myopia raises lifetime risk of retinal detachment, glaucoma, and myopic maculopathy, and every diopter you prevent is risk you remove permanently. The earlier you start, the better.

Why do you feel dizzy while driving, but not as a passenger? 🚗👁️

It’s not just “getting older.” It comes down to how your eyes
and brain work together, and when eye alignment or teaming is off,
the signals get mixed. That can appear as dizziness, trouble
judging distance, headlights that feel too bright, or headaches after
a drive.

A comprehensive eye exam can help find out what’s going on.

🏆Congratulations to our newest “Most Valuable Bella” (MVB), Somer! Swipe 👉🏼

Below are just a few of several nominations shared by Somer’s teammates:

✨”Like so many of her teammates, Somer has a heart for serving others and she does so much for our patients before they even set foot in our office.”

✨”I run to her so often for questions and each time she is there for me and the entire team! She does so much in the background to make sure things flow and it truly goes unrecognized at times.”

✨”She always goes above and beyond. She will do anything she can to make sure the office is running smoothly and help in any department she can.”

✨”Little Miss Sunshine” ☀️

✨”Not only is she the lead of operations, but she helps any time she can in all departments. She is a unicorn!”

The MVB is a true teammate recognition award. These are just a few of the many comments shared by Somer’s teammates.

Throughout each quarter of the year, our team has the opportunity to submit feedback when they notice one of their teammates really stepping up, working hard, and doing exceptional things for our patients. The “Bella” with the most nominations will earn the recognition. In addition to receiving the honor, each winner receives a plaque and gift card.

We want to recognize the hard work that goes unseen throughout the day to day to serve our patients.

Congratulations, to our , Somer!

Does smoking actually cause dry eyes? Yes and even secondhand smoke counts 👁️

Smoke chemicals disrupt the thin tear layer protecting your eyes, leading to burning, redness, and irritation that only gets worse over time, not better.
