Meet Kelly Collins, Palliative NP from the Clemson, SC branch. Kelly joined our team in August 2025.

Kelly’s “why” is best captured by a homebound patient whose ability to communicate changes from day to day, yet who always looks forward to Kelly’s visits. His wife says those monthly visits are the highlight of their month. She also shared that, because of their humble living situation, she used to feel embarrassed having healthcare workers in their home. Kelly has made them feel comfortable, respected, and heard, never judged.

Moments like these remind Kelly that palliative care is about so much more than a medical visit. For many patients, it provides connection, compassion, and comfort when they need it most.

When she's not caring for patients, Kelly enjoys thrifting, spending time with her husband and their many cats, taking walks, and exploring waterfalls.

Thank you, Kelly, for living our mission every day! 💜

Shamika, our social worker with our Greenville, SC team, embraced our mission to serve with love and went above and beyond. Upon learning a patient and his wife had limited resources and were facing homelessness, Shamika contacted her resources and explored every possible avenue to help. Her determination and compassion resulted in provision of a safe place to live, access to someone who could help ensure they received the support and care they needed, and, perhaps most importantly, allowed them to remain together. We are grateful for team members like Shamika who embody our core values and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Education makes the difference! We provide community education including dementia simulation activities and explain hospice eligibility for our dementia program. After attending our education session at Freedom Adult Care, aide Deshuwn spoke with the wife of one of his residents. She contacted us for an evaluation for her husband. Our new patient, Mr. Renaud, is shown here with his favorite aide, Deshuwn. We are honored to provide care for this family.
