Earlier this week we had the pleasure of hearing from Joy Davis and Corinne DeFilippo as they presented their collaborative research project through Wofford College. These students are leading the way in determining a path forward when extreme heat and natural disasters are disrupting how people are able to work and play outdoors.

Spartanburg High School students Myers Brantley and Payten Shell organized the “Healthy Body Healthy Mind” 5K run at Duncan Park in May. Their efforts brought awareness to the need for mental health and raised money in support of PAL’s community programs. Thank you, Myers and Payten!
