Robert “Bob” Stall, 89, of Ankeny IA, formerly of Spirit Lake and Estherville, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Story Point Assisted Living in Ankeny.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Visitation will be start at noon. Burial will be held in the Lake View Gardens Cemetery in Okoboji. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. Robert Lee Stall was born on December 20, 1936, to Lyle and Alvina (Doyscher) Stall in Fairmont MN as an only child. After he graduated from High School in Jackson, he served his country in the National Guard for 6 years. Bob was united in marriage to June Ann Ziehl on April 14, 1957, in Mankato MN after meeting on a blind date. He started his career in the farm & home business at Bob’s Fleet Supply in Jackson, then opened Stall’s Distributing in Estherville in 1961 in the building that is now Mother Natures. The store was renamed to Stall’s Farm & Home and moved to the Kinnard’s Dairy building in 1972, where it still thrives. After Bob’s retirement in 2001, he and June spent the next 15 years traveling in their 5th-wheel camper and making new friends wherever they went.

Pearl “Tootie” Kittelson, 84, of Spirit Lake, passed away August 24 at Accura HealthCare in Spirit Lake, surrounded by loved ones.

Pearl “Tootie” Irene Dierkson Kittelson was born May 11, 1942, to Herman and Irene (Stonefield) Dierkson at Lake Preston, SD. She attended county schools her first four years around Lake Preston and De Smet area. In 1952 the family moved to St. Lawrence, SD, where she attended school until she transferred to Miller in her sophomore year. Tootie graduated from Miller High School in 1960.

Tootie was united in marriage to Jerry Kittelson in 1960. Sherry Kay was born in Rapid City, SD.

In 1961, Sherry, Jerry and Tootie moved to Roswell, N.M. where in 1964 Janet Lynn was born.

After six years in New Mexico the family returned to Rapid City. In 1969 they moved to Aberdeen where she worked at Gibson. In 1971 they moved to Milbank where Tootie was employed by the school system as a teacher’s assistant. In 1979 they moved to Spirit Lake. Tootie went back to school in 1982 and earned her real-estate license. She sold real estate for the next 19 years, retiring in 2001. Jerry and Tootie did a lot of traveling, some of the places were Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Canada, Hawaii, Philadelphia, Florida, Key West, and California. They really enjoyed their lives. In 2007 they purchased a retirement home in Mesa, AZ. They spent Dec. 1 to April 1 in Mesa where they made some valued friends and renewed some old...

Raymond C. Guritz, 96, of Spirit Lake, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Accura Healthcare of Spirit Lake.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memory Gardens in Spirit Lake, with lunch served afterward at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Veterans Community Project, an organization that provides tiny homes and support services to veterans. Donations may be made at https://vcp.org.

Ray was born on July 21, 1930, to William and Ida (Froendt) Guritz. He grew up in the Spirit Lake area and graduated from Spirit Lake High School in 1947.

After high school, Ray began farming with his father until he was drafted into the United States Army. He served in Korea as a Private First Class with the 424th Field Artillery Battalion, where he was stationed with Battery Headquarters north of the 38th parallel. Ray was proud of his military service, and it remained important to him throughout his life. Following his discharge, he returned home and went back to farming. On March 4, 1956, he married Jane Inbody in Spirit Lake, where they farmed and began raising their family.

In 1965, Ray and Jane left the farm, and he began working for his brother-in-law, Floyd Gilbert, building and remodeling homes....

June Horstman, 92, of Arnolds Park, Iowa, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Sioux Center, Iowa.

June Phyllis Boone, the only child of Edward and Alice (Elgersma) Boone was born on July 2, 1934, at home on a farm near Sanborn, Iowa. At the age of 2, she moved with her parents to Sioux City so her father could attend barber college. Melvin became home from ages 4 to 9 where her dad started his barbering career. Once he was drafted into WWII, she and her mom moved back to Sanborn. She attended grade schools in Melvin and Sanborn and graduated from Western Christian High School in Hull, Iowa. In 1948, a large family with a lot of boys moved to Sanborn and June quickly became enamored with their #4 son, Gerben Eugene. June and Gene began dating and after 2 years of courtship, married on a hot June 18 in 1953.

Judith “Judy” Larson, 84, of Spirit Lake, IA, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, IA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, August 7, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spirit Lake. A rosary will be recited at 4:45 P.M. on Thursday at the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake, IA, with a visitation to follow from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Judith Ann (Wagner) Larson was born November 8, 1941, to Lloyd and Grace (Vining) Wagner on a farm near Havelock, where she arrived in the middle of a blizzard. It was so severe that her dad had to take a tractor down the long lane just to bring the doctor and his wife in to deliver her.

As a young girl, Judy was in 4-H, where she developed the leadership skills that would stay with her throughout her life. She loved being around people and treated everyone with love and respect.

Judy attended Rolfe Consolidated School and later married Larry Pullen, going on to complete her GED. They moved to a farm near Rembrandt, where they raised three daughters. Judy was active in her daughters' activities, serving as a 4-H leader and chaperoning their sporting events.

Clarice Mae (Recher) Harms was born on September 12, 1927, to John and Norma (Peterson) Recher at their home in Ocheyedan, IA. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in May City, IA. She received her 1st through 8th grade education at Allison Township County School. She graduated from Hartley High School in 1946.

She taught at the country school for 2 years in Harrison Township. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Reed Harms on July 9, 1948, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City, IA. He preceded her in death in 1997. Together, they farmed in the Melvin, Harris and Lake Park area until 1986, when they retired to May City, IA.

She and Lawrence became parents of Yvonne, Gordon, Kathryn, and Brian. Grandchildren are Kara Maxwell and Mark Leemkuil, Jason and Scott Harms, Eric and Michael Anderson and Macy Harms.
