A few more signs of lung cancer that are easy to explain away but worth mentioning to your doctor if they stick around:
• Shortness of breath, even with everyday activities
• Feeling unusually tired or worn out
• Chest pain, especially with a deep breath, cough, or laugh
• Hoarseness that doesn't clear up
• Repeat bouts of bronchitis or pneumonia
Most of the time, these have a simple explanation such as allergies, getting older, a cold that's hanging on. But if any of these last more than a few weeks, or keep coming back, it's worth getting checked instead of waiting it out.
