Recovery is about so much more than just not using—it’s about learning how to live again.

At Spokane Falls Recovery Center, integrating life skills, service work, and FUN into our group sessions has proven to be a powerful part of the recovery journey. We watch people rediscover confidence, purpose, connection, and joy while building the tools they need for long-term recovery.

Most of all, we’re incredibly grateful for the team that shows up every day to provide so much more than treatment. They create opportunities, foster connection, encourage growth, and remind the people we serve that recovery can be meaningful, fulfilling, and even fun.

The laughter, teamwork, and memories being made are all part of building a life worth staying sober for.

Eight years ago, Jacob made a decision that would change the course of his life forever.

Jacob, watching you celebrate 8 years clean and sober is a gift. Your journey has been marked by courage, humility, perseverance, and a willingness to keep showing up no matter what life brings. The man you are today is a testament to what recovery can do when it is nurtured one day at a time.

You are deeply loved by your Spokane Falls Recovery Center family—not just for your sobriety milestone, but for the way you care for others, the encouragement you offer, and the hope you bring into every room you enter.

We share these recovery birthdays because someone may be struggling today, wondering if lasting recovery is possible. Your life is proof that it is. Eight years ago, this chapter began, and because of that decision, countless people have been inspired by your example.

Congratulations, Jacob. We are incredibly proud of you and grateful to walk alongside you in recovery. Here’s to 8 years and the many blessings still to come. ❤️

When life feels overwhelming, the answer is never at the bottom of a bottle or in a substance. It’s found in connection, purpose, rest, honesty, and support.

Today, choose one healthy thing that feeds your mind, body, or spirit. One small step can change the direction of your day.

Some celebrations just hit a little differently. 💙👶

Last week, we had the joy of showering Jacob, Kaitie, and Sophia with love as they prepare to welcome their baby boy into the world.

Jacob is such an important part of the Spokane Falls Recovery Center family. Every day, he shows up with a servant’s heart, a steady presence, and a genuine commitment to helping others. The same compassion and care he pours into the people we serve is evident in the way he loves and provides for his family.

Watching Sophia beam with excitement about becoming a big sister and seeing the anticipation on Jacob and Kaitie’s faces reminded all of us what a gift family truly is. In a place dedicated to healing, hope, and new beginnings, there is something especially meaningful about celebrating the arrival of a new life.

Jacob, Kaitie, and Sophia, thank you for allowing us to be part of this beautiful season. We are so excited for your growing family and cannot wait to meet your little boy. He is already so loved by our family that is cheering him on before he even arrives.

Congratulations from all of us at Spokane Falls Recovery Center. What a blessing it is to celebrate this precious new chapter with you. 💙🍼
