Just me doing what I love. This event at the Davenport Grand Hotel gave me the opportunity to read for a lot of interesting people. Event Experience out of Seattle did a great job of putting on the convention and the venue is beautiful.

On our next Monday Meetup we’ll be talking in depth about a specific fingerprint; the whorl and diving into some tarot history and practicing a new little spread based on numerology. There are still a few spots left.

Hi! I’m back in Spokane after an amazing trip. Thanks for your patience with scheduling and any missed texts or phone calls while I was gone.

Please enjoy some art and hands from an art community outside of Nice, France called St Paul de Vence.

I haven’t settled down enough to paint tarot cards in a long time. Today I gave myself permission.

I don’t know why I chose watercolors as my go to medium; but knowing my personality; it’s the easy clean up. They certainly aren’t very forgiving.

My favorite part of replicating is that it’s never really replicated. I’m always surprised to see what details I’m guided to change or add. In this case, the person really needed a red bow.

Here’s the next round of “hands in art” from my time at the National Art Center in Tokyo.

I enjoyed noticing how expressive hands can be during dance or martial arts to lying in someone’s lap. And in the painting with the funny character and chimp; I noticed how the hands mirror the body postures of being wide open or closed and protective.

Howdy! I’m back home in Spokane after a whirlwind trip to Tokyo and South Korea.

I’ll be sharing some of my favorite hands I saw along the way.

The 3 pics above are from the Tokyo National Museum. I could have stayed all day looking at the details.

In the first pic the figure has their palm wide open; exposing the action or more fire-y side of the hand and indicating a “nothing to hide, nothing to lose” sort of message.

Let me know in the comments if you’d like more interpretation of hands in art.

Today’s card of self reflection; The Wheel of Fortune. It has me thinking about where I’ve been “lucky” and “unlucky” in my life. As a true optimist, I can look back a see how even most of my difficulties have been transformed into useful learning experiences.

However this card is giving me pause when it comes to some of the really hard stuff. The out of the blue world crises, or childhood abuses and illnesses. I can philosophize all day long about fate, good and evil, the balance of it all; but for me, today, and only for today, because I might change my mind tomorrow; I’m prompted to be grateful that despite all the luck; good, bad and in between, I’m here living and breathing and enjoying. I have choices as to how I respond to what comes at me today, and that makes me feel lucky.

(Sorry about the long run on sentence. No AI help with writing for me🧐)
