Thank you to 4 News Now for helping to shed light on the potential loss of Parent to Parent services! We are grateful to every member of our community who shared their experience about the benefits of Parent to Parent (over 1500 people used the link within days of sharing statewide!). But our verbal contract only goes through August 31, and we need to continue sharing how vital this resource can be for families and kindred of those with IDD.
What can you do?
1. Send an email to the Governor through Action Network: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-the-governor-to-direct-dshs-dont-cut-parent-to-parent?source=&eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=bf8be515-a637-4b59-9552-dea0b2287c41
2. Call the Legislative Hotline to leave the Governor and your legislators a message at 1-800-562-6000.
Your voice matters. Your story matters. Together, we can ensure that families have access to this low-cost, high impact service that provides guidance, resources, and peer support.
