As the world's largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament, Hoopfest brings thousands of athletes, families, and fans together for one of Spokane's favorite traditions. Whether you're chasing a championship or just enjoying the experience, we're cheering you on every step of the way.

Before you lace up your shoes, here are a few tips to help keep your body game-ready all weekend long:

💧 Stay hydrated. Start drinking water before your first game and continue throughout the day.

🏃 Warm up and stretch. Get your muscles and joints ready with dynamic movement before tip-off.

🤸 Prioritize mobility. Good mobility can improve performance and help reduce your risk of injury.

⚠️ Don't ignore aches and pains. Address discomfort early before it turns into a bigger issue.

After 25 incredible years with Summit, we are proud to celebrate the retirement of Bob, our longtime President, owner, occupational therapist, mentor, and leader.

For more than three decades in healthcare, including 25 years helping shape Summit into the organization it is today, Bob has dedicated his career to improving the lives of patients, supporting our teams, and advancing the profession of occupational therapy. His vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence have left a lasting impact on our organization and the communities we serve.

As Bob begins this well earned new chapter, we extend our deepest gratitude for his years of service, leadership, and friendship. While he is retiring from full-time practice and ownership, we are pleased to share that beginning in August, Bob will continue to support Summit on a limited part-time basis, focusing on ergonomic consulting services and mentorship.

🎓 Congratulations to our 2026 Jim and Cheryl Strandy Commemorative Scholarship recipient, Mackenzie!

The Jim and Cheryl Strandy Commemorative Scholarship honors the founder of Summit Rehabilitation Associates and his lifelong commitment to serving our community. Established in 2018, the scholarship continues to celebrate his legacy by supporting students who embody Summit’s core values and are pursuing careers in healthcare.

Each year, the scholarship is awarded to a recently graduated high school student to help offset the costs of higher education and invest in the future of healthcare.

This year, we are proud to recognize Mackenzie, who will be attending Corban University to pursue a degree in Biomedical Science with the goal of becoming an anesthesiologist. Her dedication to academic excellence and passion for serving others make her an outstanding recipient of this award.

To kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our team participated in the Every Woman Can PNW Pink Ribbon Run. 💗

We’re incredibly proud of our Summit team for coming together in support of this important cause, raising over $2,500 to help fund vital resources for those affected by breast cancer in our community.

A heartfelt thank-you to Every Woman Can PNW for organizing such a meaningful event, and to Cancer Care Northwest, Inland Imaging and Plastic Surgery Northwest for their generous sponsorship and continued support.
