I think I can officially say that operation Keto Thanksgiving was a success! 🙌🏼
⠀⠀
I’m not usually the best in the kitchen, but I had a great time helping my mother and grandmother make their first low-carb Thanksgiving meal! 🍽
⠀⠀
On the menu we had:
🔸 Roast Turkey 🦃
🔸 Deviled Eggs🥚
🔸 Stuffing made with Keto almond flour bread 🍞
🔸 Cauliflower Mash
🔸 Broccoli Casserole 🥦
🔸 Monkfruit-sweetened Whipped Cream! 🍦
⠀⠀
Swipe right for the photos! ➡️
⠀⠀
It was all so delicious, but best of all I feel great today!! No carb hangover. 💪🏼

I used to LOVE potatoes. Baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, chips, fries, anything you can think of. 🍟🥔
⠀⠀
Unfortunately, potatoes are loaded with carbs. Even though their glycemic index is lower than rice or bread, potatoes still trigger your insulin and encourage your body to store fat. ☠️
⠀⠀
When I started keto, at first it was difficult to give up potatoes... but then I discovered cauliflower and my whole world changed. 😍
⠀⠀
Now, cauliflower is easily my FAVORITE vegetables! 🙌🏼
⠀⠀
So in honor of , I thought I'd share with you this amazing recipe for LOADED Cauliflower Mash. 🤤
⠀⠀
I bet you, if you bring this to a "regular" Thanksgiving dinner and set it next to the mashed potatoes, this will beat out the potatoes by far. 😉

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! 🦃

After a very busy year, I'm very thankful to be able to spend this holiday with my family. (It's the first time I've been home in 3 months!)

I'm especially grateful that my mother and grandmother are preparing a full Keto Thanksgiving dinner for me! This both helps me and helps to keep my whole family on track with their health goals. 🙌

I'll try to remember to take some pictures at dinner, but in the meantime, I wish you all the best today. ☺️

Eat and enjoy! And if you want some tips on how to eat healthy through the holiday read on below. 👇

In the world we live in today, celebrations are pretty much synonymous with food. For every birthday, there’s cake. Every Valentine’s, there’s chocolate. Every Christmas, there’s sugar in every shape and form imaginable. Thanksgiving is one of

Thanksgiving is upon us! 🍗
⠀⠀
Even though this is traditionally one of the most carb-heavy holidays out there, you might be surprised to hear this, but it's actually one of the easiest to stay keto on. 👍🏼
⠀⠀
Just think about it... the highlight of the holiday is turkey! Not cookies, not cake, not chocolates. 🚫
⠀⠀
Sure, it usually comes with mashed potatoes, you know that can be easily replaced. (Tomorrow I’ll share my recipe for LOADED cauliflower mash! With that I promise you won’t miss the potatoes at all!) ♥️
⠀⠀
These are 3 strategies that I use to get through Thanksgiving without breaking keto and without feeling like I've missed out on anything. 💯
⠀⠀
1️⃣ Have a plan for what you will eat

Think about the usual dishes and mentally visualize which ones you will eat and which ones you will avoid ahead of time. This simple exercise will go a long way in helping you avoid temptations once you’re there. 💪🏼
⠀⠀
2️⃣ Don’t go on an empty stomach

When you’re starving, you want to eat EVERYTHING in sight! So to help make sure that you are in the right mindset to make good food decisions, make sure to eat something ahead of time. Ideally eat a good keto meal that’s low carb and high fat to keep you satiated throughout the evening. 😌
⠀⠀
3️⃣ Bring a keto-friendly option to the party

If you want to enjoy Thanksgiving in all of its splendor, why not bring your own keto-friendly sides? I’ll be sharing some of my favorite recipes over the next days to give you some ideas! 💡

Contrary to common belief, the primary benefit of bariatric is not that it restricts the amount you can eat. And it's not that it keeps you from absorbing calories either.
