💵 Riverview Comes Together to Support Spokane Complex Fire Relief! 💵
Last week, Riverview hosted a Fundraiser to support those affected by the Spokane wildfires, bringing residents and staff together for an afternoon of food, fun, and generosity. The event featured a classic summer lineup of hot dogs, chips, and refreshments, but the real highlight was seeing our community rally around our neighbors who have been impacted by the fires.
One of the most entertaining ways to encourage donations was Riverview’s “Dunk a Director” dunk tank! Those who donated had the opportunity to send one of several Riverview leaders into the water, including the CEO Danie Monaghan, COO Mike Schleigh, and several Directors in Dining, Finance, Sales, and RiverCare. There were plenty of laughs, cheers, and, of course, some very soggy directors. The dunk tank quickly became a favorite part of the afternoon, proving that giving back can be both meaningful and a whole lot of fun!
Thanks to the generosity of Riverview residents, staff, and everyone who participated, the fundraiser raised thousands of dollars for organizations providing critical support to people and animals affected by the fires. In the end, the total amount donated reached $10,935!
In addition to monetary donations, Riverview also collected much-needed supplies, including dog food, cat food, blankets, towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, soap, lotion, and other toiletries. These donated items will be distributed through Spokanimal and Project Beauty Share, helping connect essential supplies with people and pets who need them during this uncertain time.
Thank you to everyone who gave, participated, laughed, cheered, and helped make a difference. This is what community looks like — and we are grateful to be part of one that cares so deeply for Spokane.
