Some of our wonderful ladies enjoyed a lovely outing to Barn & Blossom Nursery, strolling through the beautiful greenhouses filled with colorful blooms and lush greenery. 🌸🌿 We topped off the afternoon with a refreshing cold beverage and great conversation. 🌟 Resident Spotlight: Delitha 🌟

Raised on an apple orchard in Omak, Washington, Delitha spent her childhood riding horses and bikes through neighboring farm fields. A gifted student and talented athlete, she was named "Basketball Queen" during her senior year of high school. Delitha's passion for education led her to earn a teaching degree from Central Washington University and begin a remarkable career as an educator. She later earned her master's degree, became a principal in Cheney, and completed her PhD in Educational Leadership from Gonzaga University. Throughout her career, she served as a superintendent in several districts before retiring from the Educational Service District.

In retirement, Delitha has enjoyed traveling, building lasting friendships, and mentoring young women through Gonzaga University. Since moving to Spokane Memory Care, she continues creating amazing memories and enjoying beautiful moments with her partner, Mike. We are honored to have such an accomplished and inspiring resident as part of our community! ❤️

You know it's the first week of a new month when our sweet furry friend comes to visit!

Meet Isaac, a 7-year-old Golden Retriever and the Northwest District’s first LCC K-9 Comfort Dog! Since arriving in Spokane in 2020 after two years of specialized training, Isaac has brought comfort, hope, and joy to countless people throughout the Inland Northwest.

Alongside his dedicated team of handlers and ministry partners, Isaac visits schools, senior communities, veterans, first responders, shelters, and more. He has also deployed to support communities during times of crisis, including the 2025 Los Angeles wildfire response.

Whether offering a gentle paw, a listening ear, or a comforting presence, Isaac continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those he meets. 🐾❤️
