The overtired-at-bedtime phase is very real. đ
That second wind, the random snack requests, the big emotions, the wiggles, the sudden deep questions⌠itâs not a personality shift.
Itâs a nervous system that missed its window and is now running on stress hormones instead of rest.
When kids get overtired, their system actually has a harder time settling, even though they need sleep the most.
In our office, we look at how well a childâs nervous system transitions into rest and how much stress itâs carrying into the end of the day.
If bedtime feels like a battle most nights, it may be time to support the system behind it.
Schedule an evaluation and letâs help their body wind down more easily. đ
