Over 12 years ago, I knew I needed to write a book. Becoming pregnant with my daughter awakened something within me. I wanted to protect her from the life I had lived and help other women and girls find healing from similar pain.

I was not healed yet. I only knew it was time to stop being silent.
For years, I resisted this story and tried to walk around it instead of through it. Now that it is published, I can see that it had a purpose far beyond me.

Becoming Olivia is the book I did not want to write, but the one I needed to finish before moving forward.

This story may be about my journey, but it is written for anyone who has experienced trauma and is still searching for healing, clarity, or hope.

My prayer is that it reaches exactly who it is meant to.
